Australia has just announced that it will be making continuous glucose monitors (CGM's) available to thousands of more people.
Erin Glasheen stars in The Fight for Flash documentary and talks about the struggles she faces in Australia, when trying to get hold of continuous glucose monitors.
But now as of March 1st 2019, CGM's will be made available to:
-Pregnant women breast feeding, or trying to have a baby.
-Type 1 Diabetics over 21 with concession cards.
-Children with Cystic Fibrosis.
As Erin Glasheen is 21-years-old with a concession card, this means next year she will be able to get a CGM on prescription.
